The concept of Drumroll Productions was started in early 2003 by David Edwards as a result of many years of editing and producing Videos for family as well as restoring 8mm film projects from the 1960’s.
The main decision came about after producing my own wedding video which a friend had filmed for me. This was a very rewarding experience using an old PC which crashed every 5 minutes using cheap editing software, I still managed to produce the DVD. Thereafter various family members requested I film and produce their weddings and it seemed a logical step to start a Business providing this service to others.
What’s In a Name, “Drumroll Productions”?
Traditionally a drum roll has always been used to present a performer to either a live or TV audience, as in the Phrase "Drum roll please". Therefore it seemed fitting to use it as a name for the Business which was founded by David Edwards, a drummer since 1985. When considering Business names it was the only name that really summed up what we were trying to achieve. This Business is all about presenting a subject to an audience.
