You've had VHS footage you've wanted to convert for years. You'd like to have it transferred onto DVD or Blu-Ray so you can watch it easily on your TV. Or you might even want to view it on your IPod. There are a number of ways your footage can be treated during the transfer process.
Straight Transfer This is a basic transfer of your footage from VHS, Mini-DV, Video-8 (or similar format) and transferred to DVD without any enhancement. The DVD will simply play once inserted into your DVD player with chapter markers every 5 minutes.
Video Editing With Final Cut Studio The process of editing your footage can involve a range of video enhancing techniques.However the main methods of improving your footage will usually involve any or all of the following:
Editing This is the process of trimming clips in & out points removing unwanted scenes.
Colour Correction & Grading • Colour Correction involves fixing footage where the white balance was set incorrectly. • Colour Grading involves giving your footage a completely different feel depending on the style you are looking for.
Camera Shake We can improve the overall stabilisation of your video using Smooth-Cam technology tracking the movement of the subject minimalising Camera shake.
Audio Enhancement Filtering out unwanted background noise and boost the signal you want in the final mix.
Music The process of adding music to match the feel of the scene.
Titles Any number of titles can be used to introduce the subject.
DVD Authoring This is the process of creating your DVD Once all is edited, your video is imported into DVD Studio where we can utilise any number of professionally designed templates for use on the finished product.
Optional Formats available including IPod, Web or PC enabled files.
Did You Know? A Blu-Ray disk has over 5 times the capacity of a standard DVD. Therefore if you have a Blu-ray player you could play 10 hours of SD video footage on one disk.
